To coincide with Re:Writing the Future, the Haus für Poesie will present a series of impressive films in which filmmakers and poets explore their old and new homelands and perhaps discover them anew. In their films and poems about flight and expulsion, these artists hone the collective consciousness and provide urgent food for thought. Alexander Gumz (poet) and Thomas Zandegiacomo Del Bel (artistic director of the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival) will host the event and their featured guest will be filmmaker Ebele Okoye.

The poems for the poetry films shown in the programme are by W. H. Auden, Jan Baeke, Mahmoud Darwish, Jazra Khaleed, Björn Kuhligk, D. J. Opperman and Ulrike Almut Sandig. [Event in English]

Anlässlich von Re:Writing the Future präsentiert das Haus für Poesie eindrucksvolle Filme, in denen FilmemacherInnen und DichterInnen ihre alten und neuen Heimaten erkunden und vielleicht auch neu entdecken.
