Esra Karakaya in conversation with musician Ali Hasan (Sasha Waltz & Guests). [Event in English]

Ali Hasan is originally from Syria. Since moving to Berlin, he has worked and performed with many international artists, such as the Lebanese composer Ziad Rahbani and the Grammy-nominated and internationally renowned pianist Joel Holmes. Since 2016, Hasan has been working with the company Sasha Waltz & Guests.

Esra Karakaya is an award-winning journalist, video producer and founder of the YouTube talkshow Karakaya Talks whose aim is to open up an online space for people and narratives that are underrepresented and marginalized in German mainstream media. She has been awarded multiple prizes for her work, including the Grimme Online Award (2020) and the “30 under 30“ award by the Hertie Foundation (2019).
